In the event of a death

If a member of the community dies, you can contact Anna Wise on 07786 13 3636 (8am-9pm) and she will notify Ronnie King of Michael King Funeral Directors, Liberal Judaism’s undertakers.

You can also call Ronnie King directly - Ronnie can be contacted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including Bank Holidays and Jewish Festivals on 020 8368 7453 or 07595 956 936.

Once it has been confirmed to Ronnie that the deceased was a member of the Crouch End Chavurah’s burial scheme, Ronnie will arrange everything for the funeral, liaising with the rabbi, cemetery and family. 

Ronnie is responsible for the following: 

• Arranging all funerals, including contacting rabbis and notifying and agreeing funeral arrangements with the cemetery or crematorium and the next-of-kin.

• Checking whether reserved grave space "In-Depth" burial is required, or has been reserved. 

• Advising on disposal of cremated remains.

Please note, no other undertaker should be instructed.  

Shiva Prayers are arranged between the chief mourners and the congregation’s rabbi.

If the deceased was not a member of our burial scheme Ronnie King will still be able to arrange a non-member funeral.
